20-hour Myofascial release training
February 26-28, 2027
Training will be hosted at Be Wild Yoga Studio in Hanahan, SC
This immersive 20-hour training equips yoga instructors, movement educators, and dedicated practitioners with the knowledge and techniques to safely and effectively integrate Myofascial Release (MFR) into their teaching and personal practice.
Participants will dive deeply into the anatomy and physiology of the fascial system, learning how this vital, interconnected network of connective tissue impacts posture, mobility, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being. Through a blend of anatomical study and extensive hands-on application, participants will learn a wealth of MFR techniques to release chronic tension, restore tissue hydration, and improve range of motion throughout the entire body.
Graduates will leave with a clear, embodied understanding of connective tissue architecture and the practical methodology to safely guide students through self-massage practices that activate the parasympathetic nervous system, improve circulation, enhance proprioception and interoception, regulate pain, and support joint health.

Key Topics Covered:
Fascia Anatomy & Biomechanics: Understand the architecture of connective tissue, the role of hydration in maintaining joint health, and how fascia functions as a whole-body strain transmission system.
Principles & Physiology of MFR: Explore the science behind tissue response, including how targeted release down-regulates the nervous system, improves proprioception and interoception, and shifts pain perception.
Myofascial Meridians: Learn how muscles are connected via fascial chains ("Anatomy Trains") to distribute load and support economy of movement.
Targeted MFR Techniques: Practical, hands-on mastery of the essential techniques including sustained compression, stripping, cross-fiber, shear, plow, and pin-and-stretch.
MFR Toolkit: Clear guidelines on the pressure differential and purposeful application of different MFR tools as well as how to adapt the practice for different populations.
Benefits & Contraindications: Therapeutic applications of MFR for athletic performance and recovery, posture, pain relief, and mental health, alongside critical safety parameters and red flags.
Integration & Sequencing: Trauma-informed language, nuanced cueing, appropriate pacing, and effective sequencing strategies for seamlessly blending MFR into group yoga classes, workshops, and private sessions.

Kelsey Harrison
500-Hour E-RYT, 1000-Hour Advanced Yoga Therapeutics Training in progress
Kelsey Harrison has studied and taught yoga for almost a decade. Through her devotion to yoga, she has found herself on the path to become a yoga therapist, and is grateful to have studied under Caroline Wybar for the past 4 years, which has advanced her teachings and understandings of the body immensely. Within her studies and personal practice, she has experienced profound healing in the practice of myofascial release. As a breast cancer survivor, mother, and yoga teacher, she knows that MFR can have a positive influence on ones health and healing, as it has also helped her immensely. Kelsey has brought MFR into her private sessions, yoga retreats, and public classes, and she has seen how it has supported her students in their healing and own inner awareness.

It is my honor to be there to witness this journey and to serve as a gentle and affirming guide along the way.”
Caroline Wybar, C-IAYT and 1,000-hour Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, has more than a decade of experience studying fascial health and teaching myofascial release to movement professionals. She trained directly with many of the industry pioneers including Tom Myers, Jill Miller, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Tias Little.
